Design-forward with an essentialist theme, Hillcrest House is fully powered by solar. The home is an exercise in reduction, to live with a modern standard but only with what is necessary. The house is powered by sixteen, sleek solar panels that provide clean, resilient electricity without relying on the power grid. The solar panels have been designed to power the entire house with a battery bank storage for up to five days with no backup generator required. This "Full Solar System" - panels, battery bank and inverter - is fully integrated to the house.
