Green good design award
The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design awarded Marc Thorpe & Claire Pijoulat the Green Good Design® Award. Architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning projects, product, packaging, and graphic designs from 28 nations were awarded with Green Good Design representing the world’s most important manufacturers, architects, design firms and leading fortune 500 corporations that are forwarding a new emphasis on a more sustainable design and environment worldwide.
This is the 13th year our institutions have developed this very specialized edition of the original Good Design program, which was founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames. Green Good Design identifies and emphasizes the world’s most important examples of sustainable design and to develop a public awareness program to the general public about which global companies are doing the best job ecological and sustainable design for our world environments. The original Good Design® founded in Chicago in 1950 program remains the oldest and most important awards program worldwide.
IDPA Japan International Design Award
Japan International Pioneer Design Award (Japan IDPA AWARD) was established in 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. It is jointly sponsored by China Europe International Design Association (CEIDA), China International Design Network (CIID88), ATELIER TEMMA Co.,Ltd, Japanese architecture and interior associates, famous Japanese design agencies and designers. It also aims to recognize internationally renowned designers or the most influential designers and design agencies.
Japan IDPA AWARD is the best way to gain insight into the world's most cutting-edge culture and design concept, meanwhile, it promotes the global development of cultural and creative industries and achieves more cultural exchanges and win-win cooperation among countries in the world.
American architecture award
Marc Thorpe wins the American Architecture Award for the Edifice. The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, The American Architectural Awards® are the nation’s highest and most prestigious distinguished building awards program that honor new and cutting-edge design in the United States.
This annual program, organized by both our institutions, also promotes American architecture and design to the public audience in the U.S. and abroad. The Museum received a record number of projects for new buildings, landscape architecture, and urban planning from the most important firms practicing in the U.S. and globally.
FUTURE HOUSE award
Future House Awards are the only Museum, non-commercial awards program that honor the newest residential designs that push the boundaries of high-design, craft, materiality, and sustainability.
Future House Awards arise from the convergence of residential design and architectural vision, with the aim of championing and honoring novel and inventive residential projects on a worldwide level.
“From a shed to a penthouse”—the vision is to present architectural projects that are both inclusive and pioneering, ultimately defining the current state, and influencing the future of residential design on a global scale. The awards program seeks to define the best and most innovative cutting-edge designs for residential architecture.
